3 Secrets To Have a Good Week 

 3 Tips for Happiness

Today is the FIRST day of October and we are loving it! We have officially decorated for Halloween and are going to be conquering our fall bucket list. I planned a surprise this morning for Derek and of course he thought it was food b/c I always find new places to eat LOL but quite the opposite!

Since it is also the beginning of another week we had a few other things on our agenda in order to make it successful. I swear sometimes my Sunday’s can determine the kind of week I’ll have just like a bad morning could ruin your day!

We did 3 important things today that I think you should do every week in some variation. Not only will these things make you an overall happier person but more determined to conquer the week ahead.

1. Go on a hike!! Or at least something outdoors. I think to kick off anyone’s week or day is getting some fresh air and exercise. This will help anyone be a more positive, it sounds so cliche yet it’s so true. This should actually be done on a daily basis and you will literally be a happier because of it. This hike was so refreshing and gave Derek and I a chance to talk about everything under the sun and also get some time away from the world! In a way this tip also corresponds with strengthening relationships, whether it is with yourself or a friend it is important to build connection.

2. Shopping!!! NOT because materialistic things bring happiness BUT because it can enhance your well being and make you feel more organized and better about yourself. Of course $ is a factor here sooo budget! Treat yourself every so often to ANYTHING (new outfit, pedicure, pictures frames, new socks, whatever you need! Derek, Ryker, and I made a target trip for a few grocery items but also to check out the Halloween decor because we are getting a lil obsessed with the holidays. We also purchased a few supplies to make something delicious:) which brings me to my third tip for happiness.


3. Bake something! I don’t care who you are, either do the baking your self or indulge in a sweet treat made by a family member, significant other, or a local coffee shop. Today I made pumpkin sugar cookies with homemade frosting! Not only did I have fun doing it but now we have something to snack on the rest of the week and the house smells like vanilla pumpkin. (my cookies are not the prettiest but definitely tasty!)
