6 Week Fitness Challenge Results!

I finished! It was not always easy and I made a lot of adjustments but I stuck to working out consistently at least 4-5 times a week and trying to eat healthier. I will share my before and after pictures below. There is not a huge difference in the way my body looks but I have noticed a major difference in my moods. I feel energized, healthy, happy, I feel like I am stronger and encouraged to keep up with working out!

What’s next?! As the 6 weeks was coming to an end I was searching for a way to continue this path! What better way than signing up for a run to keep me accountable. I will be running the 2018 Sweetheart Run, February 10th in Kansas City. And I won’t be doing it alone, Derek will be joining me! We will be running the 10k which is 6.2 miles. We are doing an 8 week training program which starts now! Obviously our workouts will be mostly running and cardio but strength training will also be important to keep our knees and hips from hurting. Our number one concern will be the weather. We are not used to running in the cold so we hope to start transitioning to outside runs so we can prepare our lungs for the race.

The number one thing I learned from working out and eating right is that it is not all about how your body looks. What matters is how you feel! A healthy lifestyle brings happiness and energy to every day tasks. I debated sharing these before and after pictures for a few reasons. There is not a major difference between the two and it does not represent what I gained over the last 6 weeks. However, I am sharing them anyways because to me it is a representation of the last 6 weeks and I am so proud of myself for sticking to it.
